Culture makers of the world gathered in Istanbul:
“Creative Cities and Industries in the 21st Century” Symposium
Creative Cities and Industries in the 21st Century Symposium was held on November 11 and 12 in Yildiz Technical University Auditorium in collaboration with Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, Urban Culture Directorate. The 12 foreign and 18 native participants, who are key figures of this field, were brought together by this symposium for the first time in Istanbul.
Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, the Secretary General of UNCTAD and Mr. Hayati Yazıcı, The State Minister of Turkey and Head of Coordination Council of Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, who participated in the opening of the symposium, declared their support on setting up an international centre on creative economy and cities.
